Question: What do you mean by convectional lifting

: When an air mass passes form a maritime source region to a warmer continental region, heating from the warmer land causes lifting in the air mass. If conditions are unstable, initial lifting is sustained and clouds develop. The convectional action stimulated by local heating, with unstable conditions in the atmosphere.
MAR is used above the lifting condensation level, which is visible at the elevation of the cloud base where the rising air mass becomes saturated. Buoyancy is added to this level through the release of latent heat by; condensation. Continued lifting above this altitude produces cooling of the air temperature and the dew point temperature at MAR
