ANS: Explain the process of selection, training and supervision of filed investigators while executing statistical survey

In most surveys the data are to be collected through enumerators’ who work part time or full time. The nature of the enumerator’s job is such that great care has to be exercised in his selection. In fact since the very success of survey depends largely upon the field investigators it is essential that they are properly selected. Thoroughly trained and their work closely supervised. Field investigators may be specially appointed, or they may consist if the exiting staff appointed for other work, and may be requested to undertake the survey work on a voluntary basis or on a small honorarium.
